Business Corner

Hotels often offer Business Corner, i.e. a small business area equipped with a computer and a printer. The added value that Esferize offers with this service is the control over the use of this equipment. On the one hand, by platforming the operating system of that computer, either Windows, or Mac, so that no misuse of it is allowed —changing configurations, deleting important files…-, as well as eliminating any personal trace of use -open sessions, cookies, personal files…—. On the other hand, integrating it with our own ticket system that allows the use only for the time that this ticket indicates, closing the session when the time has been consumed.

 

Digital signage

No doubt you can open the Word, write a message for your customers, print it out and stick it on the most visible wall you can find. Being more professional and taking care of the details, you can go to a poster company and ask them to design some impressive posters. But you will have to come back every time you want to change the information.

Or you can ask us for Hermes, our digital signage service. From anywhere you would connect to its simple content management interface to publish the images, texts and videos you want and where you want. Touch it up as many times as you need. Your creativity and the impact of the message you want to convey would be the only limitation.

You can publish the same information on all your screens, or you can customize the information on each screen individually.

 

Wi-Fi as a service. Captive Portal

Wi-Fi, one of the technological solutions present in all hotels. But how can it be accessed? Who can do it? With what quality of service? How can I make the value of something so intangible and ubiquitous be perceived? To answer these and many other questions, in Esferize we created many years ago one of our own products with more success: Magallanes®.

Magallanes® is a product that we mount on the existing Wi-Fi infrastructure to convert Wi-Fi access into a controllable service with business rules. In short, we are talking about an advanced captive portal. Behind this unfortunate name —captive portal—, there is a system that allows us to control Wi-Fi far beyond the password we can put on the SSID —the name of the Wi-Fi seen by the devices—.

This type of product is called a captive portal, because when users connect to the Wi-Fi, they are automatically taken to a specific web portal. This portal, with the corporate design, makes it tangible to the user that he is being offered a service, which otherwise he would not perceive.

If you have a property management system —PMS—, we will integrate Magallanes® with it and the client will be authenticated, for example, by entering his surname and room number. It will also be possible to issue use tickets for totally configurable periods of time. Or maybe you just want anyone who connects to be able to use it, as long as they accept some conditions of use.

In short, whatever Wi-Fi technology you have, we give you total control over its use with a cloud service, from which you can design the portal, the means of authentication, the quality of use parameters for each type of user, view usage statistics and much more.

 

TV Entertainment

A large percentage of the data circulating on the networks is due to video streaming. We know that there is a TV screen in every room and we want to help our customers get the most out of that screen, along with the capabilities of the communications network.

Esferize On TV is not only a linear television service in which you can take advantage of the signal of the channels that can arrive via DTT, satellite, IPTV, or streaming on the Internet, with an attractive interface and especially careful in its usability, but it also incorporates the MAIA service, where you can show your clients all your services —discarding, for example, the old-fashioned paper hotel service book, the menu of your restaurants and everything else that you consider of interest—. Its integration with the PMS also allows you to give a personalised welcome to your guests, show them how their expense account is doing, adverts, etc.

 

On Cast

We cannot ignore the fact that video consumption has taken a radical turn in recent years and it is more than likely that your guests are not interested in the TV channels you offer them, but in the content they themselves have contracted from video on demand services —Netflix, HBO, Youtube, etc—. Imagine the service you provide them by allowing them to watch their own content, not on the few inches of their mobile screen, but on the TV screen in their room. This is Esferize On Cast.
