Kiwoko is the leading pet store chain in Spain and continues a constant expansion process that will probably lead to it becoming the brand of greatest prestige in its field within Europe. Its mission is to help improve the life of all pets.

In its daily routine, it is highly important to manage its stock of fish correctly in its stores, as well as all the checks and treatments needed to care for them, thereby maintaining a healthy ecosystem in all of its aquariums. As it increased its number of stores in Spain and Portugal, this task became exponentially more complicated, going from what at first were a few simple accounting sheets to huge, ungovernable data books that were increasingly more complicated to manage and analyse.

From Kiwoko we were entrusted with the task of facilitating the work of the stores by developing a tool from which they could manage all these tasks in a comfortable way, minimizing the possibility of error and accessible from desktop or mobile platforms. With their support and experience in such a delicate sector as the animal sector, we got involved in the process of designing and developing an intuitive tool that would improve the previous workflow and the quality of the information and statistics collected during the process.

The tool was launched as a pilot in one of its stores and after a couple of weeks of training, adjustments and trials, it was gradually rolled out to its other centres in Spain and Portugal.

It currently manages over 100 stores and over 800 employees use the system on a daily basis.

This tool allows us to help improve the life of the fish, invertebrates and plants we receive in our stores. This way we can offer quality and safety to our customers when they buy in our centers. Creating, developing and installing the tool was a team effort where we all felt very comfortable working together.
